| KEMTI Joins 『Eco Products Korea 2006』 | | With global environmental protection policies being strengthened and public interest in eco-friendly products heightening due to such issues as new house syndrome, environmental hormones, etc., KEMTI participated in 『Eco Products Korea 2006』, held November 23∼26 in COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul.
Jointly organized by Korea Eco-Products Institute(KOECO) and Korea Green Foundation(KGF) and supported by the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, 『Eco Products Korea』is the largest domestic environment-friendly products exhibition. The event is designed to expand eco-product markets and to provide a venue for exchange of information to enhance recognition and preference for eco-products.
A total of about 100 companies participated in 『Eco Products Korea 2006』 under the theme 「From Well-Being to Lohas」and exhibited a wide variety of products, including eco-friendly automobiles, electric/electronic home appliances, furniture, living goods and building materials.
To increase public interest in green consumption, various auxiliary events, such as Green Festival and Eco-Products Purchase Rally, also were held during the exhibition period.
With installation of a booth at the exhibition, KEMTI publicized its test and analysis business for environmentally hazardous substances intensively. This is expected to contribute to upgrading the institute's external image as a test and inspection agency specializing in the environmental field.
